Wes Vallentine had a pair of second half goals as the Tigers shut down the Wildcats high-power offense. After missing several chances in the first half, Vallentine put Collins ahead early in the second half after Juan Lozano chased down a ball in the corner and sent a cross into the box that the junior forward headed in. Later, Vallentine won the ball off of a Temple defender and took it in for the final score.

The Tiger defense of Trey Benton, Travis James, Lewis Robertson, Gilbert Chavez and Leeland Karpf in goal earned it's second straight shut out as they held the Wildcats' 48-goal scorer Sean Coles goalless. The midfield duo of David Otoya and Victor Castellanos helped control the center of the park while Trevor Johnson, Taylor Heffner and Lozano provided strong play out wide.
