Wes Vallentine had a hat trick for the Tigers. The junior forward scored his goal off a nice cross by Trevor Johnson. He added his second tally off of a Lewis Robertson assist before scoring the final goal unassisted.
Malcom Johnson scored a pair of goals as the Tigers knocked off the Mustangs to advance to the 5A finals of the Diadora Cup. The junior forward gave Collins a 2-0 lead in the second half as he scored off a David Otoya assist. The game was played at Klein Memorial Stadium due to poor field conditions in Brenham.
Championship Shootout

Instead of playing a full-length match to determine the 5A bracket champions, the Tigers and Cinco Ranch went to a UIL shootout. After taking an early 2-1 advantage in the shootout, Collins fell behind 3-2 and was down to its last shooter. Lewis Robertson was up to the task as he forced the shootout into sudden death. Trevor Johnson also responded in a do-or-die situation as the sixth shooter before David Otoya sealed the victory as the eighth shooter.
The Tigers were also declared as the 2008 Diadora Cup co-champions with Brenham who won the 4A bracket.
Klein Collins lead 1-0 at halftime as Jeremy Gonzalez scored from the corner on a high ball that went in at the far post. Luis Medina then added 2 second half goals as he converted two breakaway opportunities on the counter attack. The Cavaliers avoided the shutout with a late goal.

The Tigers failed to convert on numerous early chances in the game and it proved costly as the Falcons lone shot on goal went in midway through the first half. Collins kept up the pressure in the second half and appeared to have evened the score, but Kevin Monterroza's shot went off the inside of the post and back out.

After falling behind on a early free kick goal, the Tigers battled back to pull out a hard fought victory. Luis Medina evened the score as he slid one past the goalkeeper in a 1-on-1 situation. Marcos Padilla then converted a penalty kick for the game-winner. The Tigers struggled from the spot though as they missed two other attempts that would have put the game away.
The Collins' victory along with College Park 1-0 win over Jersey Village put the Tigers in the championship match against district rival Klein Oak.

Playing short-handed, the Tigers fought hard to earn the Copa de Houston championship as they outlasted the Panthers. Jeremy Gonzalez struck a long shot from outside that made it past the Oak keeper for the lone score of the game. The Panthers had a late second half goal called back due to an offside call.

JVA - Klein Collins 2, North Shore 1
The Tigers used 2 first half goals from Luis Medina to knock off the Mustangs at home. Playing in a cold, steady rain, Collins went ahead as Marcos Padilla played a beautiful ball up to Medina who gathered it in and raced by his defender before slotting it past the keeper. Medina would add a second goal later in the half as he pressured a defender and won the ball which he took in and again put it in the back of the net.
Collins had several chances in the second half, including an Alex Chandler header that went off the crossbar, but the Tigers couldn't add to their tally. The Mustangs avoided the shutout as they scored with 3 minutes left in the game off a cross.
JVB - Klein Collins 1, North Shore 1
After falling behind in the first, the Tigers battled back to earn a hard-fought draw at home. Midway through the second half, Joe McCormick sent a beautiful cross from the right side to Kyle Bradley who headed it past the keeper to even the score.
